Saravanan Prabakaran
/After graduating from Anna University in 1999, Saravanan started his professional career as a process engineer. Quickly moving his way up DCS Automation and APC Engineer, Saravanan has operated nearly all the types of Unit Operations in Chemical Engineering and automated a wide gamut of industries using Yokogawa's DCS, NCS ranging from Offshore, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Powerplants, Batch industries, Paper & Pulp plants, Dairy industries; optimized the real time operation of the process plants like Refineries and Petrochemical plants using Yokogawa's Multivariable Controller. Saravanan is very experienced with simulation packages (Dynamic and Steady state), as well as the blending movement & automation packages for the process industries.
Today Saravanan works as an Advanced Solutions Consultant in Oil and Gas, at Yokogawa Corporation of America in Texas.
Early detection of CCR results in upstream units like Vacuum Distillation column HVGO samples helps Process Engineers to take corrective action upfront on the Operation of the Fluidized Catalytic Cracking unit thereby improving the reliability of the Refinery operation and improving the quality of the blended products from the Refinery.
