Haruo Takatsu

With several patents and papers published to his name, and over 40 years of working experience with Yokogawa Electric Corporation, Haruo Takatsu is a true expert in many fields.
Holding a Bachlors Degree in Control Engineering and a Masters Degree in Systems Science from the Tokyo Institute of Technology, Haruo joined Yokogawa in 1973 and played an instrumental role in the development of industrial automation control systems and algorithms, and implemented the first Model Predictive Control on DCS in 1988. Since 1995, Haruo has engaged in the development of Advanced Process Control Software.
Today Haruo is a professor at Tokyo Institute of Technology, a fellow of SICE and a Senior Consultant at Yokogawa Advanced Solutions in Tokyo, Japan.
