Ferdinand Coster

Ferdinand Coster is a consultant for Yokogawa’s Advanced Solutions group, specialized in Operational Improvement and Human Factors. He is a graduate of the Technical University Delft in the Netherlands with an MSc in Aerospace Engineering (specialized in Control, Simulation and Human-Machine Interaction). Throughout his career he has been applying the advanced concepts from the aerospace industry to the Industrial Automation environment. Ferdinand has always had a fascination for the human side of automation, and strongly believes that automation systems that are designed to explicitly leverage the strengths of humans can deliver the best of both worlds.
Ferdinand is a key member of the groups developing Yokogawa’s concepts of Advanced Decision Support, Advanced Operating Graphics and Alarm Management. He is also involved in developing strategies for the use of the Industrial Internet of Things and Big Data Analytics.
